CARTAGENA DE INDIAS TOURIST PLANS

Tour 1: San Felipe Castle, walls, fortifications Bocachica

Located on the hill of San Lazaro, the Castle of San Felipe de Barajas is a military fortress built in 1657 during the Spanish colonial era to defend the territory by land. It is part of the national Cultural Interest Assets and in 1984 Unesco included the Port, fortresses and monumental complex of Cartagena de Indias, in the representative list of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Tour 2: LA POPA Monastery

The Sanctuary and the Convent are the center of the highest Marian spirituality of Cartagena de Indias and the Caribbean region, where the invocation of Our Lady of Candelaria is venerated, which, since its foundation in 1606, is guarded by the friars of the Order of Augustinian Recollects – OAR.

Tour 3: City tour Cartagena sunset

This is a City tour in which you will visit the most interesting monuments of the city of Cartagena, while talking with a professional guide about the history and important battles in the city of Cartagena. It includes entrance to the fort of San Felipe de Barajas allowing you to see the city from its highest point. The tour also includes admission to the historic center to enjoy the scenery of the Cartagena sunset.

Tour 4: Experiences of Community Tourism and Ecotourism in the Black Community of La Boquilla

These are experiences of community tourism and ecotourism in the black community of La Boquilla, where visitors can live hand in hand with the natives, traditional dances, learn to fish the traditional way, cook the recipes of the grandmothers of the Caribbean, reconnect with the local living community and recognize their customs and traditions, where you can also play the drums and enter the mangrove ecosystem aboard a wooden canoe driven by a fisherman and by you.
